Nostalgia Electrics SCC200 Vintage Collection 53-Inch Snow Cone Cart

Great value and good machine
This machine is a great value. It looks nice, and it makes a batch of crushed ice quickly and easily. The amount of ice you get per batch will make about 3 or 4 snow cones. It comes with extra blades, snow cone cups, a small plastic scoop, blade removal tool and three bottles of syrup. There are a few negatives, first off, the assembly instructions are horrible, I already own the hot dog cart, cotton candy and popcorn machines so I was kinda used to the way it is put together, but it will take some sorting out for first timers. Next, the power cord is extremely short; it comes off the rear of the top of the machine and barely makes it to the floor. You need to either be directly next to an outlet, or break out an extension cord. Also, pay attention to the instructions telling you to wait until the ice cubes soften and clear a bit before trying to crush them or you can damage the blades. All in all I am happy with this and it is fun to use.

Completely Disappointed!
I am a HUGE Nostalgia fan, I've purchased all of their larger, higher dollar items but I am SO DISAPPOINTED in this!! I first purchased this item a couple months ago and we assembled it and waited until my daughter's party to use it. Unfortunately when we went to use it, we discovered it had a faulty motor and would not turn on. Amazon was amazing and sent another machine right away. SInce we didn't get to use it for my first daughter's party, were were hoping to be able to use the new one for a block party, but when I got the new machine and immediately plugged it in to make sure it worked . . . to my dismay, I discovered it had the EXACT motor problem. I called Nostalgia directly and questioned if I was just doing something wrong but the assured me I was not doing anything wrong and unfortunately I had been sent two machines from a batch of snow cone carts with faulty motors. So needless to say, I had to disassemble and repackage ANOTHER snow cone cart to be sent back and once...

Great machine
My family and I haven't had any problems with the Snow Cone Cart. Assembly was a breeze but only because we already had the Cotton Candy and Popcorn machines. I have noticed that bag ice works well when it has slightly melted. Cube ice made from a refrigerator tends to produce a different grade of shavings -- more like chunks rather than fine pieces.

It's a big hit during our backyard parties. The neighbors come with their belly-washer cups
