Shark Rocket Professional

Wow!
I looked at all the available model Shark vacs and this one stood out due its light weight and not as bulky and disproportionate looking as the others. I love the ease of activating the brush roller brush with a simple push of a button. I also really like the tools it comes with, esp the wand that reaches under my sofa. The led lights are a big plus as well. The swivel turn action is great... Similar to the Dyson. I could go on and on raving about this powerful machine. It has to be the best bang for your buck out there. I just vacuumed with my old Eureka and this vac picked up so much more dirt, I was amazed. Bought at BB&B and used a 20% off coupon. There is not 1 negative thing I can't say about this vacuum.

Great vacuum!
I bought this vacuum at BB&B a couple weeks ago (at the time it wasn't available on Amazon...plus it's cheaper there with the 20% coupon). I have wall-to-wall carpeting in my apartment and a long-haired dog, so I win the jackpot of vacuuming challenges. This vacuum was well worth the money over my previous Eureka Optima.

Disadvantages:
1) My only complaint is that the dust canister is small and so I need to empty it multiple times during 1 cleaning session. But that also shows you how much this vacuum picks up from the carpet!

2) The vacuum is so light that it DOES fall over every time you want to use the handheld accessories. Luckily for me, I rarely use those tools since I have a separate pet hair dust buster.

Advantages:
1) This vacuum is truly not that loud. My dog was scared of my other vacuum and he is not scared of this one. I swear that my blender is louder than this vacuum.

2) The filter is completely protected from...

Great Vacuum beat my old Dyson!
I bought this vacuum recently as I was feeling my older Dyson pet vac wasn't really doing the job. I was absolutely right. Firstly, the Dyson was not sealed and although it has a "hepa" filter, it was losing dust. You could see the dust around the ball and around the base of the body. I vacuumed with the Dyson, brought home the Shark and revacuumed. Incredible! I have a 2 story 1800 sq ft place. The Shark filled up 3 canisters of dirt on the previously vacuumed floors. WOW. I was immediately sold.

The Shark has an on/off switch for the roller brush, lights, cleanable filters, long cord, several attachments including a long wand for under appliances or the couch (priceless) and a small roller that is great for couches, furniture, steps etc. It's so powerful that the roller frequently stops spinning on my longer "shaggy" throw rugs. It also emits no dust. Its clean, tight and quiet keeping the dust in the canister system where it belongs. The small roller works awesome. I...
