BISSELL PowerGroom Bagless Upright Vacuum, Blue, 92L31

Absolutely Fabulous Bargain!
OK, I have checked out a number of different vacuums over the past few months, and I have to tell you that THIS vacuum is the best deal for the best vacuum. If you need a vacuum for all-purposes (light and heavy traffic), don't want to spend a small fortune, and are overwhelmed with all the choices out there, look no further. This is it. For under $100, you simply can't go wrong!

Assembly was incredibly simple. All I needed was one screw (provided) to attach the handle. Then I just snapped in the attachment hose and popped the attachments into their slots and voila! All together, it took about 6 minutes, and that included the wrangling to get the tape off the box (which was more of an issue than putting the vacuum together, if you believe it).

This machine has really powerful suction. With four doggies, I have issues with a lot of grass tracked in on their paws (and my husband's shoes), but this took one or two swipes to get everything up. It also propels itself...

Does well cleaning floors, gets right up to the walls
Being easy to assemble, the Bissell PowerGroom handle slides right into place and is then secured with the one screw that is provided. That's all the assembly that is required for this cleaner. The extension wand, crevice tool, dusting brush, and TurboBrush simply snap into their storage areas, and the hose twists into place.

The pickup-suction on carpeting has been excellent. With 5 height settings (more than the typical 3 settings that every other vacuum I'be owned has had) it can be set to clean everything from bare floors to shag carpets. I've found the 3rd setting to be the best for average pile carpet, still easy to push and yet good suction.

I took the vacuum over to my mother's house across town to try it out, because she has ceramic tile throughout her entire home, and mentioned at some point she needed to borrow my vacuum to clean her large area rugs. She mentioned that that the vacuum she has wouldn't pick up the sand and fine dirt that gets tracked...

Has some nice features
I vacuum daily to remove pet hair and dust from my carpets (I have allergies) so I was curious about how well this vacuum would work. It has some very nice features like the extra long cord, a long hose with a handle on it, and a HEPA filter. When this was first assembled, we thought there would be a problem with the wheels, as they seemed to be a bit stuck. I had no problems while using it though, it worked fine. I have two other Bissell Vacuums that feel smoother to use than this one and are quieter, but the features on this model make up for it.

The vacuum has a light in the front, which I find very useful. I often times have to vacuum late at night, or clean areas where the light comes in handy. The light also works to help you see dirt or smears on glass doors that you might have missed. The hose is pretty long and comes with many attachments. I used the TurboBrush to remove some dog hair from pillows. It worked fine but stopped a few times. I think the brush does...
