Not in original retail packaging
These appear to be Hoover vacuum bags but be warned that unlike the advertising photo they do NOT come in the original Hoover retail packaging boxes. I received a large, unlabeled ziploc type bag that was filled with 16 Hoover vacuum bags (8 I bags and 8 Q bags). And like another reviewer mentioned, they seem to have an odd smell to them...I would say like a musty/stale odor. Hopefully, that will dissipate with use, but I have other Hoover vacuum bags in the original retail packaging boxes that do not have this odd smell.
It's a great deal...but not what I expected from Amazon. If it's not going to come in the original retail packaging boxes, it should not be advertised as such.
Buyers be careful
It appears there might be a little bait and switch going on with this product. Advertised is a combo package consisting of eight Hoover HEPA Q and eight Hoover HEPA I Bags. While the description admits these come in "Frustration Free" packaging (not retail boxes) the bags look suspiciously like cheap replications. They are very light-weight and clearly do not meet HEPA standards. I have purchased replacement bags since, and it's obvious that the boxed product shown here is not the same as the product being sold. Frustration Free? Wink-wink nudge-nudge.
Not Genuine Hoover Bags
Simply put, these are not genuine Hoover Q and I bags. They are knockoffs. The ziplock bag that they came in has an affixed sticker with the item description but each individual bag is completely blank with no markings or identifying information. Genuine Q and I bags have the Hoover logo, website, phone number and "HEPA MEDIA" printed on each one. On the Q's there should be a dotted line labelled with the words "Do Not Fill Above This Line". Also, genuine Hoover Q bags are considerablly thicker and have a section of smooth surface inside the bag (right where the hole is) to prevent dirt accumulation inside at the point of entry.
Had the seller been honest that Hoover is not the manufacturer, I would have not wasted time going through with the order and return process. In the future I'm going to try to only purchase replacement bags where receiving them in original Hoover packaging is assured.
